FIRST TIME VISITING?
What to expect when you walk in.
We know showing up to a new space can feel uncertain. Here is what an evening with RE:AL actually looks like:
Casual & Unpretentious
No formal dress code, no required seating etiquette. Come in your comfortable everyday clothes. Arrive on your own or with a friend β almost everyone comes solo the first time.
Vegetarian & Plant-Based
All community dinners are wholesome, freshly prepared lacto-vegetarian / vegan meals made with love. There is always plenty to share, free of charge or by voluntary donation.
Acoustic Call-and-Response
Kirtan is an ancient, meditative musical tradition using traditional acoustic instruments (mridanga drums, harmonium, karatals). You can sing along, clap, or just sit back with eyes closed and soak in the sound.
Do I have to believe in anything or be Hindu?
Absolutely not. People at our tables are Christians, agnostics, Buddhists, atheists, seekers, and skeptics. RE:AL is a space for dialogue and inquiry, not conversion or dogma.
Are family members or guardians welcome to visit?
Yes, our spaces and dinners are completely open. Friends, parents, or partners are welcome to join any public dinner or activity and meet the community for themselves.
